Arkansas baseball made a lot of great plays on the field. But sometimes it's the off-the-field work that stays with us.

That's how Natisha felt when she went to last weekend's game. Arkansas lost on Sunday, but that (almost) didn't matter to her two kids who were greeted by Ryan Costeiu and the rest of the team in the stands.

I have been racking my brain for the last few days with all the great memories of this year's team. There were so many great plays on the field, but I think I'll forever remember what this group of young men did off the field.

After the heart-wrenching loss on Sunday, they stuck around to sign autographs and take pictures with kids who look up to them. That spoke volumes to me.

And to top it all off, as we stood outside the gate, Ryan Costeiu walked out with two hats. He gave my son one and my daughter the other. We later realized they were his hats, the ones he wore during the season. This is what me and my kids will cherish about the 2021 season—that this group of young men are special, not just in their athletic ability but with hearts that truly care about the fans.

How can you not be romantic about baseball?
