PALMETTO SHRUGS

The Razorback baseball team made short work of South Carolina, winning their sixth SEC series of the season all before the end of the day Friday. A full list of Razorback accolades would be longer than the line to use the bathroom at Myrtle Beach, so we've got the MVPs from each game for your skimming enjoyment. Game 1️⃣: Robert Moore. Not to be confused with the 007 actor, Moore played about as well as a secret agent would have on Thursday night. The Gamecock fans were... let's just say... less than kind to the Razorback second baseman, but he blasted two homers for three RBIs in a convincing 6-1 win. (He also has the coldest bat flip this side of the Mississippi.) Game 2️⃣: Cullen Smith. It was a tough start to the Friday doubleheader, but the Razorback third baseman blasted his sixth homer of the season over the right field fence to start the scoring in the second inning. Game 3️⃣: Kevin Kopps. I'm running out of adjectives for Kopps, who has to be the best relief pitcher in the country. Don't believe me? He was given two innings of work at the end of a doubleheader and it was six up, six down for South Carolina. If it were up to the Razorback baseball team, this man could run for Fayetteville mayor today. Honorable Mention: Patrick Wicklander put in 7.0 innings of duty from mound in Game 3 and his stat line was insane—two hits, one earned run, five strikeouts, and zero walks. Arkansas' midweek game against Missouri State was cancelled, so this team will see the field next this weekend at LSU. Game 1 is Friday night at 6:00pm CT on SEC Network.
