LOOKING FORWARD

Right around the corner. That's the feeling in the air as Head Hog Sam Pittman and the rest of Razorback football turns their attention to Rice.

In his first game week press conference, Coach Pittman covered a lot of ground. Here's the best of the best as we head into the season opener:

▶️ Bend And Don't Break: The Hogs have suffered injuries throughout offseason workouts and fall camp, but nothing to where Coach Pittman feels Week 1 is in jeopardy: "I still think we’re a little beat up right now. I think we’re going to be fine on Saturday ... Certainly, we haven’t had any injuries that were season-ending and things of that nature."

▶️ Learn From Their Mistakes: The advent of Week 0 in college football gives some teams a head start in their schedule. But to Coach Pitt, it also provides teaching moments. He said he'll show a video mashup of mistakes that were made in those games to his team: "The more we can show them, the better off I think we'll be."

▶️ Hopeful Returns: Coach Pitt said he's hopeful that wide receiver Treylon Burks can return to practice on Wednesday and that a game decision will quickly follow: "We're going to play him if he's ready, and if he's not we're not....I have no idea if he'll play or not."

Arkansas continues fall camp today in the lead up to their season opener against Rice next Saturday.
