LIVE TO FIGHT ANOTHER DAY
Hope springs eternal. Whether they're one step closer to taking home the gold, or living to fight another day, these Razorback alums are making headlines from the Tokyo Olympics...
▶️ Arkansas alum Tina Sutej of Slovenia advanced to the pole vault final in the pole vault with bar clearances of 13-11 ¼ feet (4.25 meters), 14-5 ¼ feet (4.40 meters), and 14-11 feet (4.55 meters). Sutej will know if she'll be invited up to the podium after her pole vault final on Thursday.
▶️ Gold medal hopeful and Razorback alum Sandi Morris was in the middle of her pole vault routine when heavy rain postponed the event. Once competition resumed an hour later, Morris had her pole break, causing her a hip injury and an end to her Olympic bid. She's motivated to come back even stronger and shares about the entire experience here.
▶️ Arkansas volunteer coach Ryan Crouser, the defending men's shot put champion and world record holder, will be competing this morning at 6:40am CT. Want to see Crouser throw a bowling ball sized shot put more than 76 feet in Olympic qualifying? Of course you do!
