If you're going to be the best, you have to beat the best. We've got a Goliath vs. Goliath matchup on deck when SEC West leaders Arkansas travel to SEC East leaders Tennessee and boy is this gonna be a fun one.

What are the keys to success against the Volunteers?

▶️ Bombs Away: Tennessee's pitching is very good—their team ERA (.347) is second-lowest in the SEC and they're throwing just 2.6 walks per game, best in the SEC. But... they've given up the most home runs (52) in the conference. That bodes well for an Arkansas team that leads the SEC in home runs (79) by a mile.

▶️ Pick Your Battles: There isn't a better hitter in the SEC than Tennessee's Liam Spence, who leads the conference with a .389 batting average. Jake Rucker isn't too far behind, ranked 12th in the conference with a .342 average. After that, however, Tennessee doesn't have a player hitting better than .300. And all but four of their players are at .260 or worst. It might be a case of losing the battle of a single at-bat to win the war of this weekend's series.

▶️ Fielding Questions: The gap between the best fielding (Alabama and Arkansas tied) and worst fielding (Florida) in the conference is just .009 points. Tennessee is right at the SEC average in fielding. Even one single fluke play could be the difference in what will be a close matchup.

The Razorback baseball team travels to Tennessee for a three-game series in Knoxville. Game 1 starts at 5:30pm CT and will be shown on SEC Network+.
