Bombs away. The Hogs are getting hot at just the right time, clinching their third win of the season with a 45-10 win over Georgia Southern. But it's not just that the Razorbacks are 3-0 for the first time since 2016, it's how they're doing it—racking up yards like we haven't seen in years.
633 yards. The Hogs have produced better than that only seven other times in program history. And most of it came from KJ Jefferson who put together his best performance as a Razorback, throwing for 366 yards and three touchdowns with zero picks.
But this was a team effort. And there were plenty of SportsCenter-worthy highlights on the day.
Here's this morning's six-pack from about as dominating a win as this team could have...
1️⃣ Tyson Grilled 'Em: Watching KJ Jefferson's first pass of the game should have let us know something big was gonna happen today, as Tyson Morris hauled in this 41-yard catch and set up a Trelon Smith touchdown just two plays later.
2️⃣ Scoop And Score: It was a tale of two drives for the Hogs to start the game. Their first took three plays and a little over a minute. The next was a 15-play demoralizer that ended on a low snap that KJ Jefferson scooped up and got to Dominique Johnson to allow him to score. Just like they planned it, huh?
3️⃣ It Takes Two: Georgia Southern pinned Arkansas down at the one yard line? That ain't no problem. KJ Jefferson and Dominique Johnson paired up to lead a 99-yard drive that led to another Tyson Morris score as he dragged a defender into the end zone.
4️⃣ Burn Notice: When you can accelerate like De'Vion Warren it's almost unfair. This 44-yard scamper set up a Cam Little field goal just before halftime.
5️⃣ Droppin' Dimes: This was undoubtedly the best throw of the day from KJ Jefferson, a 60-yard bomb to Warren Thompson for six. (Can we also talk about the pocket this offensive line is giving him?)
6️⃣ No Words: Sometimes, a player leaves you speechless. And that's exactly what Treylon Burks did on this 91-yard catch-and-run out of the flat. Sheesh.
Arkansas returns to practice today in the lead up to their next matchup against Texas A&M on CBS.
