DIRTY DOZEN

The above stat line from Christian Franklin is from last night alone. Trust me, we checked. And I know we're being greedy, but a triple would have hit the cycle... and probably brought in another RBI or two. (Razorback fans are never satisfied, are they?)

The Razorbacks hammered Arkansas Pine Bluff last night by a score of 12-4 that was not as close as the box score would indicate. By the top of the third, the Razorbacks were up 4-0. There was a five-run scorching in the seventh. Christian Franklin drove in more runs than the entirety of the other team! And the pitching was absurd. Caleb Bolden got in 5.0 innings of work and made the most of it with only one earned run and nine strikeouts. The bullpen made the most of their time as well, combining for nine strikeouts of their own. For those keeping score at home, that was 18 strikeouts for the Razorback pitchers last night. It was a rout, but it was also exactly what the Razorbacks needed in a mid-week non-conference series that should be viewed as a tune up for an important SEC matchup against Texas A&M this weekend. Arkansas baseball finishes out its two-game home stand against University of Arkansas Pine Bluff this afternoon at 4:00pm CT. You can watch the game on SEC Network+.
