If you blink, you'll miss the next preseason accolade for Razorback football players. This weekend, the honors came in droves... including All-SEC picks, John Mackey Award candidates, and more.
Who are the Hogs getting the love lately?
▶️ High Five: Let's get it started with a crop of Preseason All-SEC Selections! Treylon Burks, who had the fifth-most receiving yards in the SEC despite missing one game, headlines the group as a predicted First Team All-SEC pick. Ricky Stromberg, Grant Morgan, and Jalen Catalon are predicted Second Team picks. And Myron Cunningham, who Iron Man'd his way into playing each and every offensive snap last season, is a Third Team pick.
▶️ Center Of Attention: Speaking of Ricky Stromberg, the junior center was one of 40 players named to the preseason watch list for the Rimington Trophy, an award given to the top center in college football. To call him an anchor is underselling him—Stromberg earned the second-best run blocking grade on the Hogs last year and allowed just one sack in pass protection.
▶️ Henry The Second. Arkansas' Hudson Henry has been named to the watch list for the John Mackey Award, which recognizes college football’s top tight end. Henry could become the third tight end in program history to win the John Mackey Award, joining D.J. Williams (2010) and his brother, Hunter (2015).
Razorback football is back on the field with a home opener against Rice on Saturday, September 4th.
