Happy Friday, everyone! And congrats to Kevin Kopps: the kid who didn't receive many offers out of high school and took the college baseball world by storm this season has won the 43rd Golden Spikes Award.


His resume? The nation’s lowest ERA (0.90) and WHIP (0.76), an average of 1.46 strikeouts per inning, and capturing 100 percent of our hearts. This video narrated by Phil Elson says it all.

🔺 Good As Gold. The Razorback baseball star was named the winner of the 43rd Golden Spikes Award, presented by USA Baseball. Kopps is the second student-athlete from Arkansas to win the award, joining former Razorback outfielder Andrew Benintendi (2015). Watch his acceptance on ESPN's SportsCenter.

🔺 Grand Slam. Women’s tennis head coach Cristina Sanchez-Quintanar has named former UCF men’s tennis assistant, Georgi Rumenov, as her new assistant coach. Rumenov was a 10-year pro, playing on the ATP Professional tennis tour and earning a career high ranking of 390 in singles and 374 in doubles.
